Dave Evans | Executive Director of Creek Media | Cottonwood Creek Church
Joining us as a panel moderator, guest, participant, and new member at this year’s conference is 9-time Emmy award-winning producer/director Dave Evans.
Dave was a broadcast executive for 14 seasons with Mark Cuban and the Dallas Mavericks of the National Basketball Association. He also spent over a decade as the NBA Director of Broadcasting for Fox Sports Southwest and Bally Sports, overseeing the broadcasts for the Mavericks, Thunder, Spurs, and Pelicans. Dave also had the privilege and honor to serve on the NBA Broadcast Advisory Board for 8 years, which dealt with all the aspects of broadcasting league games and content. In 2008, He produced an NBA basketball game in 3D, the first live 3D broadcast in the world to be successfully transmitted via satellite from venue to destination.
Dave has also had the privilege to interview celebrities and be a producer and director on many documentary-style videos and exposes. He has sat on panels with Hollywood cinematographers, Pixar animators, and even NASA astronauts. But despite all of this, he left the sports world for a “higher calling” in 2022.
For almost 30 years, Dave has been an active member, Bible study teacher, deacon, and trustee (elder) at Cottonwood Creek Church in Allen, TX. But the Lord had bigger plans for him at this point in his life and career. Now, Dave is the Executive Director of Creek Media at Cottonwood Creek Church and serves on the Adjunct Faculty at Baylor University in Waco, TX, in their Radio, Film, and Television College.
At our annual conference, Dave will be moderating panel discussions and participating as a panelist in the keynote “The Future of Tech and Communications Ministry: A Panel Discussion about the Topics, Trends, Techniques, and Tools that Church Media and Communications Professionals Need to Know.”
