The Platform: Testimony of David Jones | Healing from Back Surgery
We knew this testimony would minister to those believing God for healing! David Jones reached out to us about his miraculous recovery. We used two Black Magic 6K Pocket cameras, zoom audio recorder and dramatic lighting. We loved the fact that we were able to get b-roll of David at his physical therapy location. The only challenge — not much time to put this story together — less than one month.
The Platform: Sadé Boulier | Deliverance from Mental Illness
We received a testimony submission from one of our members, Sade’ Boullier and knew her story would impact many others! It’s not often that someone talks about their personal battle with mental illness. Sade’ was a little nervous to share her testimony. We talked at length about her battle with depression and suicide before interview day. It was a blessing to develop questions that would carefully allow her to walk us through her amazing deliverance. Our production team used two Black Magic 6K pocket cameras, zoom audio recorder and simple lighting setup. One major challenge was that we didn’t have much time to put her story together – about two weeks. We filmed all of our b-roll on our church campus.
A Very Informative Jingle
This announcement video was shot on a Canon C200. The spring season means a lot of events for our church, and we found ourselves with too many announcements on this particular Sunday. Not wanting the beginning of our service to drag with a 3+ minute video, I set out on writing lyrics with all this information for Josh and Zach to perform. They killed it and I think it would have been effective in getting people to attend these events had COVID not cancelled all of them!
Mollie Beaver | I Love My Church
For this project, we purchased a roll of aluminum foil and wrapped three pieces of 4’ x 8’ sign board to create the backdrop. Then we used two Titan Tubes to create the looping color effect.

To create the backdrop for this, we used an 8’ x 8’ Matthews diffusion cloth and covered it with wrinkled painter’s plastic. Then we placed two Titan Tubes behind to create the color effect.

I used a black magic pocket edition 4k and for the shot in the water I used a special casing that would protect my camera from water damage. Some of the challenges I encountered were not being able to operate the camera in every shot because I was actually on screen acting.
