Lost and Found Kelsey

This was part of a series of interviews we did around aspects of the prodigal son story. We used 2 Sony FS5 MK IIs and an eye direct on our main camera to give it a more personal feel.

Wade Harris – Lost and Found

This is one of a series of interviews we did based around different aspects of the prodigal son. We shot these with 2 Sony FS5 MK IIs, utilizing an eye direct on our main camera to give it a more personal feel.

A Living Hope: 1 Peter – First Bible Church Message Bumper

Created in Adobe After Effects 2020, this message bumper introduces each weekly sermon in the series “A Living Hope: An Exposition of 1 Peter.” The graphics are simple and largely text-based, with the visual theme of a chess match to help conceptualize the study of apologetics in defending the gospel. The music is heavy and dramatic, to correspond with the gravity and depth of the subject matter.
As a reformed church with largely traditional theology, we approach church media with straightforward simplicity to best represent our brand and engage our audience in an authentic way.

First Bible Church Newsreel 7-26-20

This church newsreel was shot on the Sony a7sii and Rode Pro microphone, utilizing a basic white balance card and Sekonic light meter for optimal exposure triangle and coloring.
The newsreel was edited via the Adobe Creative Suite 2020 (Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Audition), while the pre-reel intro video was created exclusively with After Effects.
As a reformed church with traditional theology, we approach church media with a straightforward simplicity that best represents our brand and engages our audience in an authentic way. The biggest challenge to the weekly newsreel is creating professional, engaging content while maintaining our church’s vision. We try to do this by varying the host, location, and script each week.

Identity Crook Teaser

We wanted to create a villain to promote an upcoming series called “Identity Crook”, which is really a series about idolatry and all the things that distract our focus away from our true identity. SO we ordered a ridiculous nose-mask costume and personified the series title. The number is now defunct, but it was a ransom message with an invitation to the series if you want your identity back.

Children’s Ministry Center Interview Video

This project was a video we shot to promote the construction of our new Children’s Ministry Center. Our Kid’s ministry has never had an auditorium of their own and were very limited on classrooms in our current building. Our Lead Pastor has dreamt for years to construct a building that was dedicated to the future of our church, our Children’s Ministry. In October 2019, his vision came to pass as we broke ground and began building a brand new Children’s Ministry Center that is entirely made for our children. This video was a personal favorite as it was meant so much to our pastors and congregation to see the churches vision come to pass. We used LED lights to help with lighting, recorded with 2 Sony FS100 cameras, and recorded with a wireless sennheiser mic for the speakers. The biggest challenges was finding the right places to film as there was not much electricity in the new building to work with at the time and no lighting at all in most of the rooms. We made it work, and it has became one of my personal favorite videos to work on.
